About the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC)
The Korean Cultural Center of Chicago (KCCoC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Korean culture through the arts, education, and community engagement. Serving the Korean American community and the general public throughout the Chicago area and the Midwest, KCCoC presents exhibitions, performances, educational programs, and cultural events that foster appreciation of both traditional and contemporary Korean culture while promoting global cultural exchange.
KCCoC Pungmul School
Founded in 2004, the KCCoC Pungmul School is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and passing on the Korean traditional performing art of Pungmul to the Korean American community, the broader public, and future generations. Since becoming an official program of the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago in 2019, the Pungmul School has expanded its activities through performances, education, and community outreach.
